Austin Scheder is a 2015 2B/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Duluth, GA who attends Peachtree Ridge. Medium, athletic build with broad shoulders and some room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 7.19 60-yard dash. Primary infielder, moves well on feet with short steps to the ball, stays low through actions, short arm action with accurate throws across and shows arm strength. Also pitched, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a short arm action in back. Hands stay close to body and creates deception, small leg lift with hip turn at top of delivery, tight and compact release, stays tall at release. Gets on top of fastball well with arm side run, topping 79 mph and mixed in an 11-5 curveball, inducing ground ball contact. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high hands in set up with a leg lift trigger. Upper body swing, line drive swing plane with quick hands and nice bat speed, gets the barrel through the zone and shows ability to go with the pitch, creates line drive contact.
