Shane Kroker is a 2008 3B/SS with a 6'3'', 185 lb. frame from Westlake Village, CA who attends Westlake HS. He has a long and lean body with good looseness and leveraged strength. He has an excellent feel for defense at third base and all the tools to be a standout at the hot corner. His hands are very soft and his arm is strong and accurate. He could probably play some shortstop at the next level given his actions and arm but he can impact a game at third base just as well. Offensively, Kroker gets to his front side quickly and is a front foot hitter with a smooth, low effort swing. He stays inside the ball very well and has quick wrists that can drive the ball to the gaps. Kroker's smooth athletic looseness is evident in his swing and more strength is really going enhance his swing and hitting ability. The PG scouts remarked on the similarities between Kroker and Rockies star rookie Troy Tulowitski at the same age; there is a lot more that Kroker needs to do to reach that level but the seeds are there. Kroker is a good student who has a verbal commitment to Wake Forest.

Shane Kroker is a 2008 3B/SS with a 6'3'', 185 lb. frame from Westlake Village, CA, who attends Westlake HS. Named to the Top Prospect Team. Kroker has a tall, lean, and projectable frame. Kroker continues to improve his overall game, and he has yet to scratch the surface of how good he is going to be. He runs well for a player of his size showing athleticism. Defensively he has soft hands and smooth footwork that will allow him to handle third base easily. Kroker has range and body control as well. Once he fields the ball, he has the arm strength to make all the throws across diamond. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who has the chance to have an impact bat. Kroker has a good approach with a line drive swing plane and bat speed through the hitting zone. He centers the ball well and keeps his hands inside well. He hits the ball hard showing power potential for the future. Kroker could really take off in the near future. He has fantastic upside, and is a good student.

Shane Kroker is a 2008 3B/SS with a 6'3'', 182 lb. frame from Westlake Village, CA who attends Westlake HS. Selected as a Top Prospect. Kroker has a long body with a lanky body type and he's still growing. Defensively, Kroker has fluid athletic actions and moves to the ball well. He is a top level defensive player presently, with the potential to get even better. He has soft hands and has good footwork to the baseball. Kroker showed a good ability to throw on the run while maintaining good body control. He has a quick release to go along with his good arm strength. At the plate, Kroker starts with a straight stance and has a quiet approach in the box. He maintains good balance through his swing and hits from a good base. He has an excellent hand path to the baseball and swings on a line drive plane. Kroker generates good bat speed and is very projectable at the plate. More strength will come in his swing as he physically matures. He has a very high ceiling and should be followed closely.

Shane Kroker is a 2008 right hand hitting shortstop/third baseman from Westlake HS, residing in Westlake Village, CA. Named a Top Prospect at this event. He has a 6'2" 180 lb. frame and a lean, athletic, rangy body that has plenty of room to continue to physically develop. He has a good baseball build. Kroker has all the fundamental tools that predict success at the D1 level and then beyond. Offensively he can just flat hit. His approach is quiet, his hands are a plus, and he has excellent rhythm. Kroker maintains balance and a consistently good hand path that stays inside the ball. He has a short, aggressive swing, flat swing plane, and very good, easy bat speed. He seemingly did nothing but hit hard line drives up the middle and made it look easy. The power is not far behind because at this point, he basically has the swing and approach that other players are looking for well into their college careers. He can now start to concentrate on picking his spots to hit for some power. Defensively Kroker also showed his good hands and very good body control. He can play all the infield spots and do so with some feel. There are times when Kroker flashes above average defensive ability, another indication of him being comfortable in the game. He has a strong arm and his range suggests that he will be at third base in the near future, where his bat will play. Kroker is a strong D1 prospect and as he continues to get bigger and stronger, he should start to gain pro interest.

Shane Kroker is a 2008 SS/3B from Westlake HS, residing in Westlake Village, CA, with a 6'1" 175 lb. frame. Kroker has a long and athletic build, with a broad upper body, suggesting the potential for significant future strength gains. A right handed hitter, Kroker hits from a square stance. His hands work well, starting in a low slot, he is short to the ball. Kroker's swing plane stays pretty flat through the zone and his hands generally stay inside the ball. He showed decent balance and a pretty easy swing. Kroker made good barrel contact and has some bat speed. Both his overall hitting and power potential have a chance to be solid average for D1 level baseball. On defense Kroker showed off a quick arm and a quick release. He has good hands and went to the ball well. His lateral range will likely limit him to 3B and his defensive skills will fit well there, where he should be an above average defensive player. Kroker is a strong follow for D1 baseball programs and should immediately go on all '08 follow lists. There is something about his hands and body that is very intriguing.

Shane Kroker is a 6' 160 pound 2008 third baseman and right handed pitcher from Westlake Village, California with an average lean frame and build with room for added muscle. He has strong accurate arm with solid arm strength which he showed by throwing 76 mph across the infield during the workout. Kroker puts his body in place to make sure he gets good hops on ground balls. He has solid bat speed and with his small stride lets him drive the ball to both gaps. He is a line drive hitter who starts with a wide base. On the mound, Shane has good arm strength and very clean arm action. He topped out at 85 mph on his fastball with good extension out front. His curveball is a decent pitch at 66 mph. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot with good looseness and an even tempo with some late energy. Shane has a good upside and is a good student as well.
