Thad Sherwood is a 2016 SS/2B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Cushiing, OK who attends Cushing. Medium, athletic build with strength in frame and broad shoulders, plays with high energy in the field. Ran a 7.12 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, shows some range to either side, short arm action at release with some strength and accuracy across the diamond, gets low at release, will continue to develop with incorporation of lower half. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand and back elbow set. Small toe tap trigger leading into weight shift, line drive contact with ability to create contact to all fields. Full swing with an Inside path, generates occasional extension at contact with high finish. Good student.
