Nick Hagen is a 2017 C/ with a 5-11 205 lb. frame from West Burlington, IA who attends Burlington Community. Medium frame with a strong, athletic build. Primary catcher with a low, slightly side set stance while setting up to receive. Gains ground while working out of crouch and works through exchange quickly. Gets the baseball out of hand quickly and clean with a compact arm action. Throws generated accurate on line carry to the bag topping at 71 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a spread, slightly closed stance and simple front side trigger. Created some shift into contact with linear lower half actions. Looks to create lift in swing and drive the ball between the outfield gaps. Flashed the ability to turn barrel to contact and work to pull side with authority. Good student.
