Austin Nola is a 2008 SS/P/3B with a 5'10'', 170 lb. frame from Baton Rouge LA, who attends Catholic. Austin has a lean body with an athletic build. He has soft hands defensively with good footwork. Ausin has a smooth clean release with good arm strength. At the plate, Austin starts with a stright stance with a balanced no stride approach. He has quick hands and looks to keep his hands inside the ball. The baseball jumps on contact and he has good hand strength in his swing. Austin is a line drive hitter with gap to gap power. Austin pitches from an over the top arm slot with a loose compact arm action and a quick arm. He gets good armside run on his fastball and also throws a solid curveball and change-up. Austin is a solid two-way young prospect, was named to the Top Prospect Team and is very good student.
