Isaac Ballou is a 2009 OF/P with a 6'2'', 180 lb. frame from Smithfield, VA who attends Nansemond-Suffolk. Isaac is super athletic in the outfield with a big arm. His arm reaches the low 90's from the outfield and he uses his 6.60 speed well as he glides to balls hit his way using good routes. At the plate he has quick hands and ball jumps off his bat in a hurry. He has a good line drive swing plane and stays through the ball. His bat projects well and he has 5 tool potential. As his bat develops even more he could skyrocket up the lists. Very interesting 2009 to follow. He is also a good student.

Isaac Ballou is a 2009 OF/P with a 6'2'', 175 lb. frame from Smithfield, VA who attends Nansemond-Suffolk HS. He is a 2009 prospect but has a birthdate corresponding to many of the 2008 prospects. Nonetheless, Ballou has a young body that hasn't started getting strong yet, with long arms and legs. He was very impressive in Cincinnati given that he was only sophomore. His best tool is his bat. Ballou has a loose, fluid whippy swing from the left side that generates very good bat speed. He snaps the bat head to the ball with excellent timing and the ball jumps hard. Ballou has hitter's hands, he can really manipulate the bat head and generate bat speed with control. He resembles a young Curtis Granderson physically and with his hitting style. Ballou also showed top level defensive ability, getting very good jumps on balls during games and showing a strong, accurate throwing arm that should continue to develop. Ballou is a 6.62 runner with a quick first step and an easy running stride. He has two more years to add strength to a game that already looks very polished. He's a high ceiling talent. Ballou is also a good student.

Isaac Ballou is a 2009 OF/P with a 6'2'', 175 lb. frame from Smithfield, VA who attends Nansemond-Suffolk. He has a very athletic and projectable build who impressed in Fort Myers. In the outfield he showed good arm strength as he was gunned at 86mph and his outfield skills should really skyrocket with some adjustments and experience. He can also cover plenty of ground in the outfield as his 6.82 sixty time shows. At the plate he showed very good bat speed, quick hands and a line drive swing. He showed a nice approach as balls jumped off his bat. Isaac can flat out swing the bat and should be fun to watch as he continue to improves over the next year. His academic skills should also be noted as he does well in the classroom. He has great upside and is a very strong 2009 to follow.

Isaac Ballou is a 2009 OF/P with a 6'2'', 175 lb. frame from Smithfield, VA who attends Nansemond-Suffolk HS. Very live, athletic build, nice projection. Plus speed/arm combo for his age. Easy defensive actions. Explosive bat speed, very quick hands, long extended finish, big power projection when he learns to pull/lift. High ceiling athlete with all the tools. Also 86 mph off the mound. Good student.

Isaac Ballou is a 6'2" 165 pound 2008 outfielder, infielder, and right handed pitcher from Smithfield, Virginia who attends Nansemond Suffolk Academy. He showed very good skills during the workout where he ran a 7.15 60 and threw 80 mph from the outfield. During the game, he ran a 4.53 down the line showing his speed yet again. Isaac has very good balance in the field with athletic actions. At the plate, he is a left handed hitter with some lift in his swing. He hits from a narrow base and has good balance throughout his swing. He uses a knee lift trigger and likes to turn on the ball and pull it which is where he has good power. Ballou has good bat speed and attacks the ball with good gap to gap power. He also through off the mound where he showed his arm strength again by hitting 80 mph with his fastball and mixing in a curveball at 62 mph. Isaac is young and still developing his skills that needs to have an eye kept on him. He was named to the All Prospect Team as well.
