Brandon Stone is a 2017 SS/3B with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Port St. Lucie, FL who attends Fort Pierce Central HS. Strong athletic build, pretty mature physically. Left handed hitter, spread stance, loose and long swing with good extension out front, keeps his load and timing simple and times up well, good direction and balance in his swing and gets out of the box quickly after contact, fundamentally sound line drive swing and executes it. 6.81 runner, has good feet on defense and a quick release on his throws, arm strength will likely move him off shortstop at the next level, would be interesting to see at second base. Good student, verbal commitment to Boston College.
