Joshua Ledford is a 2008 LHP/1B/OF with a 6'2'', 190 lb. frame from Apopka, FL, who attends Lake Brantley HS. Was named to the Top Prospect Team at the event. Ledford has a good body with long limbs, and is projectable. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with solid arm speed. He uses his lower half well in his delivery getting good leverage. Ledford has solid control of his three pitches. He gets cutting action on his fastball that topped out at 84 mph. Mixes in a 70 mph curveball and a 72 mph change-up. Ledford maintains arm speed on his change-up, and his curveball is solid. He has projectable velocity gains to come. Defensively he has soft hands at 1first base, and can pick balls in the dirt. Offensively he has nice swing mechanics, and shows bat speed through the zone. He gets leverage at the point of contact that helps produce projectable power. Ledford has upside to his game, and he is a good student as well.
