Billy McGrath is a 2016 RHP/IF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Southport, CT who attends Hopkins. Large frame with long limbs and a projectable build. Right handed pitcher who throws from a three quarter arm slot with a short arm action in the back. Throws easy and shows a balanced delivery. Gets arm side run on his fastball at 75 mph with occasional sink. Has a feel for curveball which shows 11/5 shape with depth. Buries change up low in the zone. Works outer half well. Attacks the ball in the infield with developing strength across. Right handed batter with a narrow, upright stance. Has a short path to the ball and line drive swing plane. Middle of the field approach with good balance throughout swing. Outstanding student.
