Tyler Wright is a 2018 SS/OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Bellflower, CA who attends Lakewood HS. Young, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a lean, projectable frame with room to fill out. Ran a 7.28 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front, gets on top of throws, longer release, consistent actions in field, short arm action on throws, arm strength will continue to develop. Similar arm action from the outfield, fields out to side but comes through it well, accuracy on throws to intended base, repeats actions well and shows carry out of hand. Right-handed hitter, starts with an open stance and a high hand set. Upper body swing, stays short to the ball and shows bat speed through the zone, projects will physical development. Gets the barrel to the ball and shows a feel for it, creates contact to all fields and shows some carry off when squared. Named to West Coast Underclass Top Prospect List.
