Matt Kelly is a 2016 SS with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Kennett Square, PA who attends Kennett. Large, athletic frame with longer limbs and a lean projectable build. Ran a 7.04 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, shows fluid and athletic actions, moves well on feet, quick release with nice glove work, good arm strength across with carry. Right-handed hitter, starts with a spread lower half and a high hand set. Upper half swing, keeps hand in during swing, gets the barrel through the zone and shows a feel for it. Gets uphill with swing, shows nice bat speed. Named to Sunshine Northeast Top Prospect List. Good student.
