Ryan Johnson is a 2016 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-2 235 lb. frame from Mays Landing, NJ who attends Oakcrest. Tall, strongly built, mature frame. Pitches from a high three-quarter arm slot and has a short, repeatable arm actions. Induces groundballs with his 80 mph fastball and comes out of his hand clean. Throws strikes consistently and commands side to side. Stays online with his delivery. Projects for more velocity. Bats right-handed, works from a balanced setup and shows very good hand speed. Has a flat, line drive swing path. Stays inside the ball and hits to the opposite field. Uses the whole field and shows power. Hands work well on the infield and has solid arm strength. Very good student. Named to Top Prospect list.
