Brandon Beal is a 2005 shortstop/third baseman from St. Louis, Missouri, with a good 6'2", 170 lb. frame. Beal has polished actions in the infield with smooth hands and good footwork. He has some arm strength and made very accurate throws. He has a good approach at the plate with power potential. Beal stays back well and attacks the ball with good bat speed. In the games he got a little anxious and just got under some pitches. Beal shows better quickness than his sixty time might suggest. He could play any spot on the infield and his bat will be his ticket to the next level. He is also a very good student.

Brandon Beal is a 6'2", 170 lb. third baseman/shortstop from St. Louis, Missouri, with pretty good running ability. In the field he shows some arm strength throwing 78mph across the diamond. Beal shows nice hands and feet defensively with solid transfers. His overall defensive tools may be better suited for second base. Brandon is a right handed hitter with a medium stance and a slight hand hitch trigger. He has a short, quick bat path with very good bat speed. Brandon has a quiet approach with very good balance throughout his swing. Beal should generate even more power as his body continues to mature. Brandon already shows good hand strength and uses the whole field in his hitting approach. Brandon is an excellent student.

Brandon Beal is a 2005 3B/SS from St. Louis, MO, with a lean and very projectable 6'2" frame who we have seen frequently in the past. Beal projects out as a third baseman and his arm strength and actions will be solid for that position. How high and how well Beal plays will really depend on how his power develops, though. He creates very good leverage in his swing and has some good bat speed and will flash his power potential. Beal’s timing and swing mechanics tend to be inconsistent, though, which will lengthen his swing and put him out in front of a few pitches. When everything comes together, you see a smooth and leveraged swing inside the ball that’s capable of driving the ball to all parts of the yard. He shows athletic ability and a very good feel for the game. Brandon is an excellent student.

Brandon Beal -- Beal is a projectable 6-2 infielder with sloping shoulders and he projects to gain some weight and strength. Right now he might best profile at third base at the next level. Beal’s best tool is his hitting ability. He generates good bat speed with a nice short approach and swing. He hit some balls real hard in Ft Myers. Beal has some natural loft in his swing and when he gains that strength some of those hits are going to be rattling around the outfield fences or beyond. He’s an outstanding student who has already scored very high on his SAT’s. Interesting follow.

Brandon has some tools and is a player to watch. He has a good projectable athletic body and is a plus runner at 6.87 in the 60yd. He showed good actions in the infield and can swing the bat. Definitely a very good 05 prospect. He keeps getting better everytime we see him. Could get very interesting as he matures physically.

Can play! Lots of projection! Interesting "05" with ability. OK infield actions and arm. #1 tool is the bat. Good hitting mechanics and pretty swing. Stays inside the ball. Someone to follow closely.
