Brandon Louie is a 2016 RHP/1B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from South Pasadena, CA who attends South Pasadena HS. Large, athletic build with broad shoulders and a well proportioned frame with present strength. Right-handed pitcher, throws from a high three-quarter arm slot with a full, loose arm action coming through the back side. Stays balanced through delivery, gets tall on back side, full hand path and gets on top of ball well to generate downhill plane. Easy arm action and works over front side, locating to glove side well. Fastball topped out at 83 mph to both sides of the plate. Mixes changeup frequently, mimics fastball out of hand with very late fade while maintaining arm speed. Gets around curveball at times, short 11-5 break. Moves well around first base bag, solid footwork and fields cleanly. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high hand set and shows fluidity in swing. Line drive plane with some lift at contact, ball carries off barrel when squared. Outstanding student. Named to National Underclass East Top Prospect List.
