2015 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Jake Oliger is a 2016 OF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Newtown, CT who attends Newtown HS. Large, athletic frame with long and lean limbs and room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.29 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well on feet and works through the ball, quick arm with longer release, shows fluidity to arm action, tracks well off the bat, gets on top of ball and shows present arm strength with accuracy and carry. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high hand set and big shift through lower half. Generates good rotation with stride, stays through the ball and generates nice leverage off the barrel. Quick bat with solid bat speed through the zone, generates nice jump off the barrel with consistent contact to pull side. Named to Northeast Top Prospect List. Very good student.
