2005 So Cal Underclass Showcase
Chris Cannon is a 5'9" 140 pound 2007 infielder from Gilbert, Arizona who attends Higley High School. He has a lean athletic build and a projectable body with room for added muscle. At the plate, Chris has a compact swing and sprays the ball to all fields very well. He has good timing and rhythm and loads his hands very well. He is very short to the ball and is a line drive hitter who has tremendous bat control. He has a good approach to hitting and shows good bat speed though the hitting zone. Cannon has ok hands with quick footwork that allows him to turn the double play very well. He does the little things in the field very well that a coach likes to see. Chris is also an excellent student as well with a 4.1 gpa.
