Jose Ledesma is a 2017 SS/OF/RHP with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Passaic, NJ who attends Passaic HS. Ledesma has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively he is smooth to the baseball and fields with a wide base. Ledesma has developing arm strength with velocity up to 73 MPH. His hands work well and he has clean transfers. At the plate, Ledesma starts with a busy load and has a line drive approach. He is short to the baseball and has developing bat speed. Ledesma made ground ball contact in BP and worked the middle of the field. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a clean arm action. Ledesma has some arm speed and the ball comes out clean. He worked from the stretch only and pitched to contact. Ledesma throws an 11/5 curveball with good bite to it. Good student.
