Tyler Gaul is a 2016 SS/RHP with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Glen Ridge, NJ who attends Seton Hall Preparatory. Large, athletic frame with a lean, projectable build and room to fill out, broad shoulders. Ran a 5.51 40 yard dash. Footwork plays in the infield, fields the ball well out front, long arm action, easy accurate arm strength, strength will continue to develop across. Right handed pitcher, throws from a three-quarter arm slot, long easy arm action. Fastball topped at 72 mph, works both sides of the plate well. Curveball shows 11-5 shape with short break. Switch hitter, creates are hard line drive contact right-handed, good bat speed with consistent contact to the middle of the field. Gets the barrel to the ball. Left-handed, stays on the ball well, quick bat from an even set, solid contact to the middle of the field. Solid from both sides. Excellent student.
