Jackie Plashkes is a 2018 C/RHP/2B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Rancho Santa Fe, CA who attends Torrey Pines HS. Medium frame, lean athletic build with wiry strength. Frame projects for additional strength with maturity. Ran a 7.01 sixty-yard dash. Primary catcher, quick lower half actions while developing good momentum to the bag. Sweeps glove to ear with an extended transfer while working through exchange. Gets on top of the baseball well with a loose, full arm action through release. Throws produce some carry to the bag with accuracy. Topped at 76 mph with a best workout pop time of 1.95. Right handed hitter open stance and high back elbow set. Creates slight lower half coil while working into load. Hands launch to contact on a linear plane creating occasional extension. Flashed solid hand quickness through the zone with some feel for the barrel. Primarily worked the baseball to the middle of the field but shows the ability to turn barrel to pull side as well. Good student.
