Fernando Alvidrez is a 2016 SS/RHP with a 5-10 142 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends St Paul. Alvidrez has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively he moves to the ball well on the infield with good footwork. Alvidrez has solid actions through the baseball with smoothness and fluidity in his movements. He showed arm strength up to 80 MPH with accurate throws. At the plate, Alvidrez starts with a hip coil into a leg lift and has a rotational swing. He is short to the baseball with a line drive approach. Alvidrez showed some barrel skills and showed some hitting tools. He pitches from a lower 3/4 arm slot with a loose arm. He creates good angles from his arm slot and he has some heaviness to his fastball. Alvidrez has some deception to his delivery and threw a slider at 69 MPH. Good student.
