Robert Morgensen is a 2016 OF/RHP/1B with a 6-4 220 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends Creighton Prep. Physical, sturdy build with good present strength. Left handed hitter, medium leg lift to good weigh shift, transfer. Maintains balance and comes uncoiled with controlled torque, explosion in short, quick swing. Shows some looseness in swing, solid feel for barrel with easy bat speed and natural loft, hit two big home runs in batting practice, has real juice to his pullside. Good defensive actions and instincts with softer hands that play in both infield and outfield, could use lower half a bit more in throwing mechanics. Also pitches, has some deception in deliberate delivery, hides the ball very well. Longer, loose arm action with slight wrap backside, works to overhand arm slot. Ran fastball up to 82 mph, solid command. Also mixes in curveball with 12/6 shape and very good depth, can fall out of delivery and open front side early at times. Shows talent and potential in all aspects of game. Very good student. Named to Top Prospect List.
