Dylan Towey is a 2016 C/2B with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from North Babylon, NY who attends North Babylon. Medium and athletic build, broad shoulders with strength present throughout frame. Ran a 7.55 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, starts with a higher set behind the plate, gains ground well with his lower half, quick and compact arm with a solid transfer and release, will continue to refine footwork, accurate throws to second base. Right-handed hitter, starts with an open stance strides to an even lower half, wraps at beginning of swing. Shows nice bat speed and strength with hard line drive contact to all fields. Occasionally gets to front side early but shows strength off the barrel. Has an approach at the plate with extension out front and ability to go to opposite field. Very good student.
