Francisco Malave is a 2015 RHP/2B with a 5-6 148 lb. frame from Middletown, NY who attends Middletown. Athletic frame with room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 7.24 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works from a three-quarter arm strike and fills up the strike zone with both pitches. Steady tempo delivery, stays tall on back side with a short arm action in back. Fastball topped at 76 mph and shows the ability to generate cutting action on the pitch. Curveball has 12-6 shape at 67 mph. Moves well on feet in the infielder, short arm action, gets on top of throws across. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set. Upper half swing, short path to the ball, flashes strength in swing, strong hands, creates contact to all fields. Good student.
