Casey Schmitt is a 2017 3B/RHP/SS with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Eastlake HS. Very strong athletic build. 7.41 runner, has a strong arm at third base with a compact and short arm action, can throw from multiple slots with accuracy, will have to continue to work on lower half quickness to maintain his range. Also plays the outfield and shows a very good arm with carry. Right handed hitter, busy load from a wide base, short uphill swing with strength behind it especially when he gets extended, gets to his front side, shows pull power at times, good balance through contact. Good student, verbal commitment to San Diego State.
