Alex Trapani is a 2015 LHP/OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Rochelle Park, NJ who attends Hackensack. Athletic frame with a lean, projectable build with room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 7.38 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, works from a low three-quarter arm slot. Simple and repeatable delivery, hides the ball well to create deception, uses lower half well, effort at release. Fastball topped at 80 mph, shows natural run to it and has the ability to cut the pitch at was. Flashed a slider at 67 mph. Works through the ball well in the outfield, good arm strength with accuracy, fields the ball out front. Left-handed hitter, starts with a spread lower half and high hand set. Line drive swing path, quick bat, creates line drive contact to all fields, balanced throughout swing. Very good student.
