Chris Lacher is a 2017 LHP/OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Rowlett, TX who attends Sachse High School. Medium, athletic build with a lean, projectable build, square shoulders, has room to fill throughout body moving forward. Primary lefthanded pitcher, begins on the first base side of the rubber, high leg lift up bast the belt at start, coils at top, strides on line and shows balance to finish, will continue to improve with drive out of lower half. Short and compact arm action through the back, works to a three-quarters arm slot, fastball topped out at 76 mph and features subtle life to the arm side, effort at release, has a feel to mix three pitches and can change eye levels while working to either side of the plate. Nice feel for the changeup, short fading life at 69 mph and maintains release point. Curveball shows 1-7 shape, early break out of the hand at times, short depth when on top of the pitch. Has comfort sequencing pitches. Good student.
