Arthur Gorling is a 2016 C/1B, OF with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from The Woodlands, TX who attends The Woodlands. Long, lean athletic build with plenty of physical projection remaining. Primary catcher, two-handed receiver, has developing footwork at present but has solid arm strength and is accurate down to bases. Popped as low as 2.16 seconds in defensive drills. Also worked out in the outfield, throws with compact arm-action, fields out in front and is clean, still developing consistent actions but projects well. Right handed hitter, open stance with quiet weight shift. Could incorporate more lower half into swing mechanics, shows solid hands and feel for the barrel, sprayed line drives around the field. Should grow into more power with more consistent load, weight shift and incorporation of lower-half. Excellent student.
