Chris Rodriguez is a 2016 2B/IF with a 5-9 174 lb. frame from Murfreesboro, TN who attends Blackman HS. Medium, athletic build with broad shoulders and a well proportioned frame with present strength. Primary middle infielder, fields with a wide base, takes short steps to the ball, some effort on throws across with strength, quick release when charging in. Right-handed hitter, starts with a square stance and a medium hand set and uses a small leg lift trigger to start swing. Long line drive swing plane, keeps hands in on swing and shows a feel for the barrel. Gets to front side early at times, occasional lift at contact, shows ability to create contact to all fields. Excellent student.
