Ryan Burke is a 2007 LHP with a 6'2'', 168 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Poly Prep. Ryan has a tall lean build with room to fill out. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a loose arm action and he gets a lot of life on his pitches. Ryan has a simple easy delivery and does a good job of hiding the ball. His fastball is heavy with good life and he is able to stay down in the zone well. His slider is tight and can be used as a strikeout pitch. Ryan is a player that should attract the attention of some smaller colleges.

Ryan Burke is a 2007 LHP/1B with a 6'2'', 165 lb. frame from New York NY, who attends Poly Prep. He has a tall lean body that hasn't filled out yet. Burke has a loose and easy arm action and good arm speed. He has solid pitching mechanics and repeats his delivery well, which enables him to attack the zone with strikes. Burke's fastball topped out at 81 mph and was pretty straight. He pitched backwards most of the time, using a quality 70 mph curveball and nice 75 mph change up to get ahead in the count. Burke worked both sides of the plate and kept hitters off balance well. He needs to get stronger to add some velocity but he projects well at the next level. Burke also played some first base and showed the same type of smoothness and control with the bat as he did on the mound. The whole key is going to be getting stronger. Burke is also a good student.
