David Ellis is a 2016 RHP/SS with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Hazleton, IN who attends Princeton. Medium, lean, wiry, highly athletic frame and projects to get stronger. Ran a 7.20 60 yard dash. Pitches from a high three-quarter arm slot and attacks with his fastball. Has a clean arm action and repeats very well. Works at 86-89 mph with his fastball and shows life down in the zone. Flashes above average depth on his 11-5 curveball. Has the a potential to be a swing and miss pitch. Knows how to pitch. Stays on top and finishes. Also swung the bat, works from a wide base and hits line drives to the middle of the field. Arm works across the infield and hands work well. Future is on the mound but good overall athlete. Named to Top Prospect list.
