Thomas Delvecchio is a 2018 2B/RHP with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Westfield, NJ who attends Seton Hall Preparatory. Medium frame with slender, athletic present build and good projectable room for additional strength and build. Posted 7.31 seconds 60 yard dash time. Hits from wide spread stance with high hand set and high back elbow, barrel tip forward into slight wrap, incomplete weight shift forward into swing, quality hands in swing with good hand-eye coordination, has barrel control, mostly line drive swing plane, made consistent contact to all fields. Showed solid range defensiveness in the IF, good to both sides, fields and gets rid of ball quickly, consistently accurate throws across diamond to 1B with IF velocity up to 74 MPH. Pitched as well, showing smooth delivery with good online direction to the plate, throws from extended low 3/4 slot, FB worked 72-77 and was commanded well to both sides, good heavy life on FB, showed CB with quality depth, mixed pitches well and threw strikes. Good student.
