Ryan Fortgang is a 2016 OF with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Woodstock, GA who attends Etowah HS. Medium-compact frame with strength and physicality throughout build. Ran a 7.70 second 60-yard dash. Worked out in the outfield, attacks the ball well and has good instincts. Gathers on backside and works through with large crow hop. Displayed good arm strength, solid accurate throws to bases, up to 81 mph in defensive drills. Right handed hitter, slightly open stance with large leg lift trigger. Solid weight shift, gets out in front and keeps hands back well. Repeats approach well and shows feel for the barrel with an ability to create line-drive contact to the middle of the field. Good situational hitter, hit the ball where it was pitched in game action. Very good student.
