Jake Sciarrotta is a 2016 C/RHP with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Holbrook, NY who attends Sachem North. Medium, strongly built, catcher's frame. Shows solid arm strength and makes low, on the bag throws from behind the plate. Gets the ball out quickly. Bats right-handed, works from a still setup and has a strong lower half. Has a compact swing path and finishes high with his hands. Has an aggressive approach and knows the strike zone. Shows hand speed. Also topped at 82 mph on the mound and works down in the zone. Works from an over the top arm slot. Mixes a 73 mph curveball with 12-6 depth. Has hard, late biting action. Very good student.
