Joe Myers is a 2016 SS/2B with a 6-2 182 lb. frame from Little Rock, AR who attends Catholic HS. Long, lean build with present strength throughout and ideal frame for future physical projection. Stands square to the plate with a high hand set, takes hands away from body a bit during load. Toe tap trigger, then fires forward with very good bat speed. Up the middle approach, will spray line drives all over the field. Good knowledge of the strike zone, doesn't expand, doesn't chase. Quality at-bats every time up to the plate. Projects to hit for power due to bat speed and lift in swing. Good overall feel for the barrel and feel for hitting. Makes consistent hard contact. Stays behind the ball well. Worked out in the infield during drills. Good actions when fielding the ball, charges well, body a little stiff. Consistently accurate throws with solid arm strength, topping out at 77 MPH across the diamond. Good student.
