Rorik Maltrud is a 2018 RHP/C, 1B, 3B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Westwood. Good build with a larger frame and broad slopping shoulders. Starts delivery with an easy side step into a leg lift to slightly below belt. gets load up well on backside with a slight hip turn. Comes uncoiled on delivery well and uses whole body to throw pitch. Has a medium arm action to a 3/4 arm slot. Curveball has late break and shows solid potential to 11/5 shape and depth. Kept arm speed up on change up but lacked true feel for it at this point. Continued development of Cruveball and change up will be important for future success. Hit from a square stance, has a fluid line drive swing with good lift. Show strength to pull side. Defensively, has a quick transfer and release. Keeps throws low and has carry. Interesting two way prospect. Named to Top Prospect List and Team. Good Student.
