Colin Birzes is a 2016 1B/LHP with a 6-0 220 lb. frame from Media, PA who attends Penncrest HS. Has a large frame and strong build with clear signs of present strength. At first base, made accurate throws from multiple arm slots with solid velocity reaching up to 71 MPH. At the plate, left handed hitter that starts with an upright stance, high back elbow, and high hands. Showed good bat speed at the plate with some good lift and pop when barreled. Also displayed ability to stay back on off-speed pitches. Hit the ball hard opposite field in games. Power projects. Good student.
