Bryce Simon is a 2017 OF/ with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Cascade, IA who attends Cascade. Large frame with a lean, athletic build and wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 6.70 sixty yard dash. Primary outfielder with clean, smooth paced footwork while closing to the baseball. Fundamental glove actions at pick up and exchanges. Long arm circle at separation and released from a loose three-quarters arm slot, topped at 87 miles per hour. Generated good momentum at released that produced accurate, on line carry to the bag. Left handed hitter with a very spread, even stance. Hands move to a slightly lower position prior to launching on a direct path to contact with a line drive plane. Stays on back side throughout swing with rotational lower half actions to contact. Primarily looked to turn the barrel and work to pull side but has the barrel control to work to the middle of the field as well. Ball jumped off the barrel at times when on time and squared.
