Justin Billups is a 2017 1B/LHP with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Philadelphia, PA who attends School of the Future HS. Large frame, tall slender build, room to fill out physically as he continues to put on additional muscle. Posted a 7.68 60-yard dash. From the infield, fields the ball out front, athletic actions, quick transfer, soft hands, accurate throws to the bases. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a slightly open stance and a high back elbow. Hands extend back to catcher on load. Swings on a line drive swing plane. Full swing, short to the baseball, get the barrel to the ball consistently. On the mound, throws from a low 3/4 arm slot, long arm action, solid arm speed, developing lower half, high energy slivery. Nothing is straight out of the hand, fastball has natural cut. Curveball has 1/7 shape, good depth. Changeup has same cutting action as fastball. Raw tools that project well. Good student.
