Nicholas Engle is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends Millard North HS. Medium athletic build, good present strength, fairly mature physically. Left handed hitter, solid swing mechanics with good bat speed, best bat speed when pulling, tends to slow barrel when inside the ball and hitting opposite field, shows power and the ability to lift the ball, uses hips and weight shift well in generating bat speed, good loose extension out front. 7.23 runner, moves to the ball very well in the outfield, made a couple of very nice catches in the gaps while playing centerfield, compact arm action with playable arm strength. Also pitched, over the top arm action with a compact quick arm action, slow pace to release. Upper 70's velocity with some run arm side and cut glove side, short slider with some vertical bite to it, threw strikes with both pitches. Good student.
