Connor Thompson is a 2017 SS/2B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Liberty Hill, TX who attends Liberty Hill High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable frame with additional room to fill out moving forward. Ran a 6.99 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, shows quick-twitch to actions along with athleticism, fields the ball out front and shows comfort with the backhand, full and quick arm action, smooth transfer, gets on top of throws well and shows solid arm strength across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high back elbow in the box. Uses a leg lift trigger for timing, shows balance and athleticism to swing. Mostly upper body in swing but shows quickness to hands and a feel for the barrel, contact approach and gets the barrel through the zone well. Repeats mechanics, creates contact to all parts of the field, quick hips coming through. Very good student.
