Zach Masalski is a 2017 RHP/1B with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Phoenixville, PA who attends Phoenixville Area High School. Very strong, large build with present strength and a compact lower half. Posted a 7.78 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher, showed a shorter arm action from a mid three quarter arm slot. Quick arm to the plate starting with a hand raise over his head. Fastball worked 77-79 mph with rising action up in the zone and filled the zone. Also showed a changeup at 73 mph and a curveball at 70 mph. From the infield, fielded clean with good actions and bend and a strong arm across to third base. At the plate, started with a wide, open base and a high hand set. Quiet hand load with a linear swing plane with minimal lower half involvement. Inconsistent weight shift that would improve with better timing. Good student.
