Evan Netherland is a 2017 RHP/MIF/OF with a 5-10 130 lb. frame from Henrico, VA who attends Tucker HS. Young, slender build with plenty of room to add further strength and muscle to long, lean frame. Smooth, online delivery with ability to repeat it well. Generates some downhill plane from high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball up to 77 mph, shows good command of offering, some sink and armside run. Also mixes in curveball with 11/5 shape, good depth and occasional sweeping action. Good feel for pitching, knows how to confuse hitters' timing. Also plays infield and outfield, moves through the ball well, shows good footwork and fundamentals, nice accurate throws. Right handed hitter, starts with open stance, showed ability to use the barrel effectively when he got into a rhythm. Front side can clear early at times, but flashed ability to hit line drives to middle of the field. Very good student.
