Adam Thompson is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Cypress Community Christian. Medium, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean, projectable frame with room to fill. Ran a 7.01 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out front, longer release upon transfer, full arm action with an over the top release, gets on top of throws and shows present strength and carry to intended base. Similar arm strength across the diamond from the infield, accurate throws and gets on top of ball well. Also pitched, throws from a high three-quarter arm slot, short stide down the mound and lands slightly closed. Hides the ball well behind body, occasionally gets across body at release, cut action on fastball that topped 79 mph. Creates angle and downhill plane on the pitch. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and shows balance throughout. Short line drive stroke to ball, shows quickness in barrel with contact to pull side. Life off the barrel with occasional extension, projects for more with incorporation of lower half. Very good student.
