Grant Parker is a 2016 C/1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from La Canada, CA who attends La Canada HS. Large frame, strong build. Hits from a wide setup in the batter's box with a slight knee bend, Line drive swing plane, hands work well in swing, uses the opposite field well, strong hands and wrists, patient approach at the plate. Big frame suits catcher position well and gives large surface area for blocking throws in dirt, good footwork for online catch and throw mechanics, long arm action, accurate throws. Good student.
