Chase Davidson is a 2008 1B/3B/OF with a 6'5'', 216 lb. frame from Alpharetta, GA who attends Milton HS. He has a very well proportioned and extremely strong build for his age. Comparisons to Jim Thome are common for Davidson both because of his strength and approach at the plate. He takes a full cut at the ball and tends to pull off during games. When Davidson stays on the ball and keeps his swing shorter, the results are impressive. He showed the ability in batting practice to lift the ball out to LCF and also to hit 450+ moon balls to right field. He's still learning how to swing during games but the raw tools are there. Davidson had some at bats against high velo pitchers that were impressive. Defensively, Davidson is agile around the bag and is probably athletic enough, especially with his arm strength, to play corner outfield with work.

Chase Davidson is a 2008 1B/P/3B/OF from Milton High School in Alpharetta, GA, with a 6'5'', 210 lb. frame. Named to the Top Prospect Team at the event. Davidson has a big league body with present strength. Defensively he has good hands at the infield corners with solid footwork around the bag. Davidson is a left handed hitter with a very short swing for his size and shows very good bat speed. He has an aggressive swing while still maintaining his balance, and he gets great leverage at the point of contact. Davidson produces plus power from a slight uppercut swing, and projects to be a middle of the order run producer at the next level. He has high level hitting tools with the ability to hit to all fields, and should hit for power and average. Davidson is a must follow, and is a very good student as well.
