Cade Stallings is a 2009 3B/1B/P with a 6'1'', 230 lb. frame from Knoxville, TN who attends Farragut HS. Very strong, lower 1/2 is thick. Aggressive swing, hard pull contact, can overpower balls, has some timing/balance issues. Big arm strength at 3B, will need to work on quickness. Also pitched, compact arm action/delivery, FB to 87 mph with movement, tight slurve type breaking ball. Strength to be top prospect. He was named to the top prospect team at this event.

Cade Stallings is a 2009 3B/1B/P with a 6'1'', 215 lb. frame from Knoxville TN, who attends Farragut HS. He has a large, powerful build with excellent present strength and maturity for his age. Stallings was named to the showcase Top Prospect Team. He has baseball tools that play on both sides of the ball but his bat stands out most right now. He has plus bat speed and hand strength and just overpowers balls right now. Stallings has a quiet, balanced swing and a good level swing plane. He's an aggressive fastball hitter and balls explode off his bat. He consistently registered gun readings like 93 and 97 mph off the bat on line drives and he squared up on balls almost every at bat. On defense, Stallings has nice soft hands at third base and a very strong arm, but his mobility may move him over to first base in the future, where he should be a very good defender. On the mound, Stallings has solid pitching mechanics and a short, quick arm action. He challenges hitters and has a good idea what he's doing on the mound. Stallings' fastball topped out at 88 mph and he blew some by hitters up in the strike zone. His 72 mph curveball and 73 mph change up are pretty good pitches that could improve in the future as well. Stallings doesn't have much projection but performs at a high level right now. He's a good student and was named to the showcase Top Prospect Team.
