Sam August is a 2009 OF/MIF from Roxbury Latin HS, residing in Needham, Massachusetts, with a lean and athletic 5'9"/150 pound frame. Sam was named to the Top Prospect Team. He hits from a straight stance with a knee lift trigger. August has a line drive swing plane with good hands and a short swing. He has a good arm from the outfield at 82 mph with a solid release. He moves well defensively in the outfield. Sam has soft hands in the infield and gets to the ball well. He has an accurate arm across the diamond at 76 mph.
