Brendan Dougherty is a 2017 LHP/1B with a 6-5 185 lb. frame from Bayport, NY who attends Elev8 Sports Institute. Tall, lean frame and athletic build that is very projectable physically. Works primarily from the stretch with a high leg raise. Easy release of the ball from a three quarter arm slot with a short arm circle. Showed good armside run on 78-80 fastball. Should incorporate lower half more in delivery, could see fastball velocity improve. Shows some feel for 2-7 shaped curveball that flashed depth and can be thrown for strikes. Should continue to work and develop changeup more. Mixes pitches well and should continue to improve. Good student.
