Blake Correa is a 2015 1B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Lyford, TX who attends Lyford HS. Large, athletic build with long limbs and present strength, room to continue to fill out. Ran a 7.27 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front with a wide base, shows nice athleticism and footwork off the base, hands work and picks well, short arm action on throws across, more strength on throws with use of lower half. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high back elbow and a spread lower half. Keeps hands in and shows raw strength to pull side. Quick hands with good bat speed and creates line drive contact with nice extension out front. Frame and tools to continue development of power with slight adjustment. Very good student.
