Brian Cardone is a 2016 RHP/3B/2B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Seven Lakes HS. Lean athletic well proportioned build, projects well physically. Busy well paced delivery, repeats it well with his athleticism, clean compact arm action, high 3/4's to overhand slot, has some downhill plane to the plate. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, mostly straight but has some deception and the velocity plays up. Nice curveball with good 11/5 depth at times, bit inconsistent with his release point on this pitch. Two solid base pitches and should keep improving. Has two way potential as an infielder. Right handed hitter, loose swing with good strength and some bat speed, consistent line drive approach with solid contact. 7.28 runner, athletic actions moving through the ball in the infield, long arm action with arm strength and accuracy, soft hands. Excellent student.
